چکیده
Abstract In this study, low-cost siderite was used to activate peroxydisulfate (PDS, S2O82-)-inactivated Enterococcus faecalis study the inactivation characteristics and mechanism of siderite/PDS. The results showed that siderite/PDS had a better effect on at pH 3. sterilization increases with increase dosage, PDS concentration temperature. rate is decreased initial bacterial concentration. Inorganic ions natural organic matter (NOM) can inhibit technology, inhibition intensity NOM > HCO3? NO3?. free radical quenching test shows HO• main oxidizing substance in process technology. addition, disinfection highly reactive oxygen species destroying cell wall bacteria releasing compounds cells. After reused for four times, simply washing would recover almost 80% removal siderite/PDS, indicating has potential recycling.

Effect and mechanism of persulfate activated by different methods for PAHs removal in soil.
The influence of persulfate activation methods on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) degradation was investigated and included thermal, citrate chelated iron, and alkaline, and a hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂)-persulfate binary mixture. Thermal activation (60 °C) resulted in the highest removal of PAHs (99.1%) and persulfate consumption during thermal activation varied (0.45-1.38 g/kg soil). Per...
متن کاملRemediation of total petroleum hydrocarbons using combined in-vessel composting and oxidation by activated persulfate
This study was investigated the efficiency of activated persulfate and in-vessel composting for removal of total petroleum hydrocarbons. Remediation by activated persulfate with ferrous sulfate as pre-treatment was done at batch system. In the chemical oxidation, various variables including persulfate concentrations (10-3000 mg/g as waste), ...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Demonstration of the Enhanced Disinfection of E. coli Water Contamination by Associated Solar Irradiation with Potassium Persulfate
BACKGROUND Tremendous amount of researches have investigated the issue of water photodisnfection. The aim of this research is to illustrate the influences of bacterial density, turbidity, exposure time and potassium persulfate (KPS) dosage on the efficacy of associated solar disinfection (SODIS) with KPS for E. coli (ATCC: 25922) eradication as an efficient and inexpensive process. METHODS De...
متن کاملDefluorination of Aqueous Perfluorooctanesulfonate by Activated Persulfate Oxidation
Activated persulfate oxidation technologies based on sulfate radicals were first evaluated for defluorination of aqueous perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS). The influences of catalytic method, time, pH and K2S2O8 amounts on PFOS defluorination were investigated. The intermediate products during PFOS defluorination were detected by using LC/MS/MS. The results showed that the S2O8 (2-) had weak effe...
